Colleen, a CPA and Co-Founder of Blackbird Accounting, PLLC, brings over 20 years of diverse accounting expertise to her clients. She specializes in bookkeeping and tax services and has a keen eye for detail. Due to her thorough nature, one of her major accomplishments was discovering unintentional accounting errors that ultimately led to millions of dollars being returned to the Clark County School Districts. She has also assisted many businesses with organizing their books and improving their financial management. Colleen enjoys accounting and wants to help you with your accounting needs, so you can focus on growing your business. Colleen lives in Vancouver with her husband and loves to travel, especially now that their children have left the nest.
Colleen is a member of the Hazel Dell Salmon Creek Business Association and enjoys networking with the other members. She also enjoys participating in local charity events with organizations such as the Evergreen Habitat for Humanity chapter.

With over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry, she has established herself as a knowledgeable and experienced professional. Her focus goes beyond simply preparing tax returns; she is dedicated to assisting her business clients in saving money through careful tax and entity planning.
One of Angel's distinctive qualities is her commitment to her clients. She aims to be their advocate in all financial matters, ensuring that she not only handles their tax needs but also comprehensively understands their business. This approach makes her the go-to person for her clients' financial questions.
Angel began her accounting career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a renowned global accounting firm. Her extensive experience and background have undoubtedly contributed to her proficiency in the field.
Furthermore, Angel's roots are in Clark County, and she currently resides in Hockinson with her husband and three children. Angel serves as the treasurer for the Hockinson Football Boosters and volunteers for the Hockinson Wrestling team, demonstrating her commitment to her local community by supporting extracurricular activities that benefit the youth in the area.

Megan Schierling is a seasoned credit union professional, well-versed in accounting, payroll, lending, and corporate training. Her diverse background includes stints at a small accounting firm at Pratt & Whitney's Accounts Payable department. She earned a business and economics degree from the University of North Texas.
Outside work, she enjoys outdoor adventures and family travels, while actively contributing as a board member of the Hockinson High School Music Boosters, showcasing her commitment to community engagement.

Donna is a Certified Public Accountant who focuses on tax compliance and planning for individuals and small businesses. Since joining Blackbird Accounting, PLLC in 2022, she has served clients across a variety of industries and values building long-term, trusted relationships through reliable service and careful attention to detail. She enjoys helping clients navigate evolving tax laws and providing thoughtful guidance tailored to each client’s unique situation.
Donna earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and her Master of Business Administration before building a diverse professional background in public accounting, manufacturing, and the commercial real estate industry. Her broad experience provides her with a well-rounded understanding of the financial and operational challenges faced by businesses and individuals alike.
Donna relocated to Vancouver in 2019 and has enjoyed life in the Pacific Northwest ever since. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and unwinding with a good book.

Angela, an accomplished tax professional for over a decade, is an enrolled agent with the IRS. She has collaborated with esteemed CPA's and accountants in the Pacific Northwest. Alongside her professional endeavors, she mentors fourth-grade girls in the AWANA program, sings in her church choir and loves to garden.
Currently residing in Wyoming with her supportive husband, a distinguished army veteran. Her roots in Clark County, Washington, have played a pivotal role in shaping her life.

Kathy brings a well-rounded financial background to our flock. Prior to entering the world of bookkeeping, she spent over 20 years in corporate purchasing, logistics and international trade. In addition to her professional experience, she served as Treasurer for a local non-profit organization for five years. As a bookkeeper, Kathy combines attention to detail, organizational skills and a deep understanding of corporate processes to help clients maintain accurate financial records.
Kathy is a proud resident of Hockinson, where she lives with her husband and two children, who are active in high school and equestrian sports.

Isaac joined the Blackbird Accounting team as an intern at the start of the 2024 tax season and has since transitioned into a full-time role while completing his accounting degree at WSU Vancouver. After graduation, he plans to prepare for the CPA exams and pursue certification. Isaac is passionate about helping individuals and businesses in the local community navigate the complexities of tax and finance.
A lifelong resident of Clark County, Isaac grew up in Ridgefield and now lives in Vancouver.

David is passionate about helping individuals and businesses solve financial challenges. By supporting people through accounting and financial services, David finds genuine fulfillment in making a meaningful impact within the community and seeing people succeed. One of his favorite aspects of accounting is analyzing the inner workings of a business to understand the full financial picture and provide nuanced, practical guidance. Since beginning his career as an accounting intern in 2024, he has continued to dedicate himself to professional growth with first-hand experience, and a commitment to deliver dependable service to clients.
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, David plans to obtain his CPA license following graduation. Through his work at Blackbird, he takes pride in being able to support his community while continuing to develop his expertise within the profession.

Jessica is a dedicated and results-driven CPA with over 10 years of experience in both public and private accounting. Passionate about helping clients succeed, Jessica works closely with individuals and businesses to develop tailored strategies and solutions. Her goal is to handle the accounting, so clients can focus on what matters most to you.
In addition to her role at Blackbird Accounting, she has also dedicated time to various volunteer organizations over the past 15 years.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three boys, exploring the beauty of Sisters and Hood River, and tending to her mini farm, where she grows blueberries, maintains beehives, and cares for her hens.

Joey joined our firm in late 2024. Bringing with him a bachelor's degree in business administration, specializing in Finance and Accounting, from Washington State University. Go Cougs! Joey enjoys the challenge of solving complex financial puzzles, finding satisfaction in helping clients stay organized and on track.
Outside the office, Joey can be found on the golf course or bass fishing, all while soaking in the stunning views of the Pacific Northwest. He calls Downtown Vancouver home, where he lives with his fiancé and their golden retriever, who firmly believes she’s in charge of the household (and may just be right)

Courtney joined Blackbird Accounting in January 2024. While this is her newest role, Courtney is no stranger to the tax world, having previously worked at several accounting firms across the Northwest, where she honed her skills in client relations and office organization. Courtney takes pride in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring clients feel valued from the moment they walk through the door.
Outside of the office, Courtney enjoys cross-stitching, playing board games with friends, and exploring new bakeries in the area, always on the lookout for the next sweet find.

Talon began at Blackbird Accounting in January 2025 as an intern after connecting with Angel at a WSU Vancouver event. He has since joined the team full-time and is working to finish up his bachelor's degree in accounting at WSU. Talon is committed to helping individuals understand their taxes and sustain their businesses through proactive planning and organized financials. After graduation, he looks onward toward studying for the CPA exams.
Talon is a Christ-follower and is grateful to serve his community through his local church. He lives in Battle Ground with his wife and loves to spend time with his family and friends. You can often find him golfing at a local course, working out, or taking a refreshing sauna.

Ximena joined the Blackbird Accounting team as an intern at the start of the 2026 tax season and has since transitioned into a full-time role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance, as well as a Professional Sales Certificate from Washington State University Vancouver.
Passionate about serving her community, Ximena enjoys learning more about local businesses and their financial and tax needs. She is committed to continuous learning and strives to provide thoughtful support to those she serves.
Outside of the office, Ximena enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, hosting gatherings, and exploring new hobbies and experiences.
